Working your prospects

Updated Nov 5, 2026

The Prospects screen answers one question each morning: who should I call today?

Where to find it

Click Prospects in the sidebar, under Members. The small number beside it counts prospects whose next step is due today or overdue. If it is blank, you are caught up.

Prospects are private to your staff. They never appear in your public directory or on your website until they join.

The stages

Each prospect sits in one of five stages: New, Contacted, Invited, Joined and Not interested. Logging a call on a New prospect moves it to Contacted for you. The tiles across the top, such as Overdue and Due today, are buttons. Click one to narrow the list.

Log a call

  1. Click Log on the prospect's row.
  2. Choose the kind of contact (call, visit, email or text).
  3. Write what was said.
  4. Add a next step and a date. The quick date buttons cover most cases.
  5. Click Save.

The next step date is the most useful field, because it puts the prospect on your due list on the right day.

Invite and sign up

  1. Click Invite to prepare a join link for that business.
  2. If member email is switched on for your chamber and the prospect has an email on file, send it from there. Otherwise copy the message with Copy message, send it yourself, then mark them as invited.
  3. When they say yes, click Joined, choose the membership level and start date. They become a member and leave this screen.

Good to know

  • Use the checkboxes to update many prospects at once, such as setting a stage or dating a next step.
  • Export CSV exports what you are looking at, filters included.
  • Got a spreadsheet of businesses to chase? Import prospects brings it in.
  • To add one by hand, use Add prospect.
