Members can pay their invoices by card online once you connect a payment account of your own. The money goes to your account, and Chamber Culture takes 0% of what you collect.
Connect Stripe
Only chamber admins can open Settings.
- Go to Settings, then choose Taking payments from the Billing group.
- At the top, click the Stripe card.
- Enter your Publishable key, Secret key and Webhook signing secret from your Stripe account.
- Click Save credentials.
- Copy the Webhook endpoint shown on the page and add it in Stripe under Developers, then Webhooks. The page lists which events to select.
- Turn on Accept online payments.
Saving your keys and switching on Accept online payments are two separate steps, and you need both. Saved secrets are write-only, so they are never shown again. To change one, type in a new value.
Other processors
The same screen also offers PayPal and Authorize.net, each with its own credential labels. Autopay for renewals runs on Stripe only.
How members pay
Every issued invoice has its own secure pay link. Members open it and pay by card without logging in. Use Send invoice or Copy pay link on the invoice page.
Optional settings on the same page
- Online payment fee: add a fee to online card payments if you want to cover processing costs. It is off by default.
- Other ways to pay: add instructions for checks, bank transfer or cash, shown on every invoice.
- Allow autopay: lets members save a payment method and enroll themselves.
If members see no payment option
- Check that your credentials are saved.
- Check that Accept online payments is on.
- Make sure the invoice is issued. Drafts have no pay link.
