Setting up membership levels and dues

Updated Nov 5, 2026

Membership levels (we call them tiers) are the heart of your dues. Set them up once, and every dues invoice follows from them.

Create a level

Only chamber admins can open Settings.

  1. Go to Settings, then choose Membership tiers from the Membership group.
  2. Under New tier, enter a Name, such as Gold.
  3. Enter the Price ($) for one billing period.
  4. Pick a Billing period: Annual, Monthly, Quarterly or Semi-annual.
  5. Add a Description if you like. It helps your team remember what the level includes.
  6. Click Create tier.

Want members to choose between payment options on the same level? Use the optional Also offer ... payment at ($) fields instead of making a second tier.

Included extras

  • Included advertising: tick any page where members on this level may claim a free text ad. It still goes through your approval queue.
  • Active (offered to members): turn this off to retire a level without deleting it. Members already on it keep billing correctly.
  • Show on the public join page: untick this to keep a level for your staff to assign, so no one can pick it when joining online.

Add benefits

In the list of tiers, click Benefits on a level, then Add benefit. Give it a Label (for example, 2 free event tickets), an optional Quantity (blank means unlimited), and how often it Resets.

Good to know

  • Changing a price affects invoices created after the change. Invoices already issued keep their amount.
  • Use the up and down arrows in the list to change the order levels appear in.
  • The Grace period and Online join settings sit lower on this same page.
