When a member calls, it helps to picture their screen instead of yours. Most problems have a two-minute fix.
What members see
Members land on their Feed after signing in: upcoming events, open invoices and a snapshot of their business listing. Which other items they see depends on what each person has been granted. A sole owner usually sees everything. Staff at a larger business may see a shorter menu. Options include Hot Deals, Job board, Member news, MarketSpace, Community events, Billing, My Business, My Profile, Leads and Team.
To see it for yourself, open the member's record and, as a chamber admin, click View portal as. You see their portal exactly as they do. They are not signed in and nothing is emailed.
Common situations
"I can't log in" or "I never got the link"
- Open the member's Contacts tab and check the contact's email.
- Ask them to request a new sign-in link from the sign-in page. Links last 30 minutes.
- Ask them to look in spam, searching for your chamber's name.
"I don't see a menu item" This is almost always permissions, not a bug. On the member's Contacts tab, open the actions menu for that person and choose Portal permissions to see and change what they can do (this option appears for contacts who are not the primary contact). Primary contacts manage access for their colleagues from the Team screen in their own portal.
"I submitted something and it is not showing" Deals, jobs, news, listings and community events wait in the approvals queue until someone on your team approves them.
"I can't pay my invoice" Check that the person has billing access, and that an online payment account is connected for your chamber. Without one, members cannot pay online.
Good to know
- Send welcome kit on the member's page emails the primary contact friendly setup steps with a link into their portal.
- Social sign-in links to an existing account only. It never creates one.
