Checking people in on event day

Updated Nov 5, 2026

On event day, your phone becomes the door scanner. Open it before doors open and you are ready.

Open the scanner

Go to Events, then click Check-in on the event's row. You can also open the event and click Check-in scanner. Bookmark the page on the door phone.

Scan tickets

Every ticket has its own QR code. Point the camera at it and the screen answers right away:

  • Green: checked in.
  • Amber: already checked in. Scanning twice is harmless.
  • Red: a problem, such as a ticket for a different event, a cancelled ticket or a code that is not recognized.

The screen resets by itself, so you can scan the next person without tapping anything.

If a ticket will not scan

  1. Brighten the guest's screen. Torch and Flip camera are there if your phone offers them.
  2. Type the 12-character code from the ticket email into Type ticket code and tap Check.
  3. Use Find a registrant: type at least two letters of a name, email or organization, then tap Check in. A party shows its size, such as "Party of 4", and one tap checks in everyone on it.

If the camera will not start, tap Try camera again, or allow camera access in your browser. Typing codes and searching still work without it.

Walk-ins

Open Walk-in registration under the camera.

  1. Type their Email. If they are in your CRM, their details fill in. No email? Tick No email (tickets go to the chamber inbox).
  2. Add their name and phone, and their business if they have one.
  3. Choose the Ticket type and the Party size.
  4. Tap Register + check in.

Unpaid tickets and offline

If an invoice is still open, the result says Unpaid and shows the balance. The guest is still checked in. Collect payment from Billing with Record payment.

If the connection drops, scans are saved on the phone and sent automatically when it returns, with the time they were actually scanned. Several phones can scan at once and the count stays current.
