Chamber Connect: introductions and mentoring

Updated Nov 5, 2026

Chamber Connect helps your members meet each other. Each month it suggests pairs, you approve the ones you like, and each pair gets a friendly introduction email. Chamber admins only.

Turn it on

Chamber Connect is off until you switch it on.

  1. Make sure your time zone is set. Go to Settings, then Currency and region.
  2. Click Chamber Connect in the sidebar.
  3. Click Turn on Chamber Connect.

Members can then join from their portal, on a page called Chamber Connect. They choose how they want to take part (Monthly Connection, Be a mentor or Find a mentor), their meeting and availability preferences, and agree to the program wording.

The five pages

The Chamber Connect page shows how the program is doing and links to:

  • Participants: review new sign-ups, pause or remove people, and use Add participant to enroll a member by hand.
  • Matches: click Propose matches, then Approve, Hold or Replace each pairing, and finish with Send approved introductions. Each pair then gets an email.
  • Mentoring: pairs mentors with mentees the same way, using Find mentors. Mentoring has its own Turn on switch and needs Chamber Connect to be on.
  • History: every pairing and how it turned out, with a Download CSV button.
  • Settings: when pairings are proposed, whether staff approve each pairing or they are sent as soon as they are proposed, the Program owner, and the consent wording people agree to.

A typical month

  1. Open Matches for the month and click Propose matches.
  2. Read through the pairs. Hold or replace any that do not feel right.
  3. Approve the rest and click Send approved introductions.
  4. A short check-in follows, so you can see how each pairing went in History.

Good to know

  • Nothing is emailed to a pair until you approve it, unless you choose the automatic option in Settings.
  • A member can pause or leave from their own portal at any time.
  • A partner only appears to a member after the introduction email has gone out.
