Adding a member takes a few minutes, and you do not have to finish everything in one sitting.
Add a new member
- Choose Members in the sidebar.
- Click New member.
- If the business has a website, paste its address into the box at the top and click Auto-fill profile. Chamber Culture reads the site and fills in what it can find, such as the name, about text, contact details and hours.
- Review everything, and change anything that is not right.
- Set the Name and Status. Those are the essentials.
- Click Save.
Text fields fill in right away. A logo and photos take a little longer and finish on their own after you save.
The fields worth a look
- Industry is the member's main category, and it decides where they appear when visitors browse your directory.
- Additional categories lets a business appear under more than one heading.
- Referred by links the member who recommended this business.
- Visible in public directory controls whether an active member is listed on your chamber's website.
The public profile section (about text, cover image, logo, hours, social links, photo gallery) is what visitors see, so treat it as the member's storefront. None of it is required.
Edit an existing member
- Open the member from Members.
- Click Edit.
- Make your changes and click Save.
To change only the status, click the status badge at the top of the record and pick a new one. No need to open the full form.
Good to know
- Anything in the public profile section can be seen by anyone who browses your directory.
- Everything you save stays saved. Reopen Edit whenever you have more to add.
